DewMore has used the three-show sponsorship series as a way to showcase and help raise money for a local non-profit organization called the Music Resource Center www.mrccinci.org. MRC's mission is to "educate and inspire young people, and through music equip them with life skills for the future." They achieve their mission by being a multifaceted
teen center that uses recording and performing arts, as well as life skills mentoring, to create a sense of empowerment and accomplishment in the urban community. MRC-Cinci has been open for 6 months and has had over 100 teens participate in their program. Their center offers four digital project studios, two fully outfitted rehearsal rooms, and a practice studio. They currently offer lessons in digital recording, guitar, piano, drums, violin, bass, and voice. The yearly membership fee for their members is $24 (scholarships are available for those in need) and this fee includes all studio time and music lessons.
